We’re Moving – Our Meeting Place, That Is

We had a lively and productive meeting this past Saturday.  Eight members showed up to share our wishes and goals for the Owensboro Writers Group, as well as our own personal writing goals for 2011.  I've got to tell you, we have some ambitious writers on our team.  There are novels in progress, novels in rewrite, and plans for a multitude of articles, and thousands of words to be committed to paper.  I won't wish luck to all of us, because what it takes is lots of hard work and sacrifice of family time, sleep, and other favorite activities to make the journey from writer to published author.  This group is our own personal cheering team – totally excited for every step closer to that acceptance letter.

In order to accommodate our growing group, we are making a move to the Daviess County Public Library located on Frederica St. in Owensboro, KY.  There is parking, quiet rooms, and better seating arrangements that should make our meetings even more productive.  Why don't you join us?

Our group manager, Theresa, plans to arrive early and "save" the Meeting Room for us. She will ask if drinks are allowed, but is 99% sure that you cannot bring food.

Drinks and food is allowed in the public lounge. As a matter of fact there are vending machines available to the public.  Thanks, Alicia- Daviess County Public Library Computer Services
