About Theresa Jewel

Theresa Jewel Ammons Pinkston’s family and friends call her Theresa, T. J., or Jewel. She has written fiction for at least 24 years, and currently writes a non-fiction column for Examiner.com as the Evansville Pets Examiner. Growing up in Logan County, KY as the oldest child of seven, Theresa graduated from Russellville High School in 1978 before attending Western Kentucky University where she earned an Associate of Science. While at WKU, Theresa met Roger Pinkston. They married in 1983 and moved to Owensboro, KY. Theresa and Roger have one child, a son who was born in 1987.
